He is the Founder and CEO of the Zawl Institute, a Leadership and Life Coaching organisation established to bring God-centred principles to the growth and development of “the-whole-person”.

He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at First National Bank Botswana, Chairman of Council for the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), and is a Member of the Botswana Vision 2036 Council.

Among other strategic roles previously held, Balisi was a Member of the De Beers Group Executive Committee; Chief Operations Officer and Head of Corporate Strategy at Debswana; and General Manager for the Debswana Jwaneng Mine.

He was also Chairman of the Tlhokomela Endangered Wildlife Trust; Co-Founder & Chairman of the Council of CEOs for Children’s Rights under the auspices of UNICEF; Board Member of the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC); and Board Member of the PEO Venture Capital Fund.

He holds a BEng (Hons) in Mineral Engineering (1992), Leeds University, UK; MBA (2002), University of Cape Town, RSA; and is a graduate of the Senior Executive Programme, London Business School, UK.

Balisi, a church pastor, is married to Jennette, and they are blessed with three daughters.
